"But what they were about to face was a danger none of them could have imagined."  Wow!  It sounds like trouble is coming.  Have you or someone in your family experienced an ice storm?  How could an ice storm be trouble or how could it be dangerous?

Ice storms are always a little scary for me. I grew up in Texas, and we hardly ever have really cold or icy weather. I remember a couple of ice storms I have been in here. They are fun as long as you are safe and warm inside your house. But our friends at Gooseberry Park are not safe or warm. I wonder what will happen to them??

Usually when we have an ice storm all the power goes out. We can be without power for several days, so I don't like ice storms. I love snow storms because I love to go sledding and play in the snow.

I remember a really bad ice storm we had here once and the power was out for several days and we lost some big trees in the woods by our house. The creaking and crashing sounds were alarming, just like in Gooseberry Park!
